Having fun

I've been doing a lot of work since arriving in Trujillo, but am also enjoying seeing friends, eating wonderful Peruvian food (it's my favorite...sooo good), and catching up with those I love and have missed! Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to so far:

My good friend Elva. I'm staying with her and her family during my stay. They are incredibly generous and hospital and a great blessing to me. Here, we're at a restaurant that serves Peruvian jungle food: juanes, tacacho, platanos fritos, chancho, etc. Muy rico!

With my dear friend Maria after a wonderful lunch at her house. She lives in the Manuel Arevalo community and is a children's Sunday school teacher at Arevalo and a leader in the savings group. It was wonderful to catch up with her!

Lucia and her daughter Grace. So wonderful to see them again. Grace has grown so much. See this previous post to read about their family.
