I arrived in Trujillo last night, and it has been wonderful to see friends again. The weather here is warm and beautiful, and I'm thankful for a change after all the winter in the States! I'm staying with my good friend Elva and her family, and it's been fun to fellowship with them. Their hospitality and generosity are a blessing to me!
This afternoon, there was a meeting of the women in the church in Arevalo, a group that I was a part of during my time in Trujillo. Many of the women there participated in the savings group, and others work with the card business. Here is a video that Allen Bradford put together of some of the things the ladies have participated in. The ladies shown here are precious sisters in Christ, who I esteem greatly and am honored to count as friends. Watch the video to get a better idea of how God is at work in and among them, and how they are reaching out to the community.
Be in prayer for the church in Arevalo that it will continue to grow and be a light for the Gospel in her community! Praise the Lord for the faithfulness of the women in the church, and be in prayer for their continued growth and encouragement.
